Dear Folks,

We are upgrading from MQSI V2.0 to Websphere Business Integration Message Broker 4.0.

Can somebody please tell me / point me to any link containing
important differences at the Message Flow / Configuration level between the two ? And precautions we need to bear in mind when we go for the upgrade ?

I have already seen the differences even between MQSI V2.0 and 2.1 (for ex: in defining Destination list at the Compute Node level where we choose Local Environment at the Advanced tab etc...).

So I suspect there would be many more when it comes to WBI 4.0 !!!

Any information in this regard will be very helpful.

Do you mean V5.0?

Also, I do not think you can migrate direct from MQSI 2.0 to WBIMB v5. You need to go via WMQIv2.1.

See the WBIMB documentation for details of functionality, and there is a (draft) RedBook describing migrating from 2.1 to 5.0.

The redbook site does not seem to work very well right now but try going to wwww.redbooks.ibm.com and searching for SG24-6995-00. The title (when I last downloaded it) was 'Migration to WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker V5' and it includes various migration scenarios and 'gotchas'.
