Hi,
Anyone who worked with MQLinkfor R/3 and SAP Integration.

We have set up MQ,MQLink for R/3 between a legacy system and SAP. We are sure all the inbound outbound servers ini files are setup correctly. When we send a test IDOC from legacy it sits in the local queue on AIX on SAP side. The MQ inbound server is not able to connect to the SAP Client and transfer IDOCS to SAP.

Inbound server says "Failed to get SAP transactionID .Check Client,user,password and languag. I knaow we are giving all the correct info. And the ALE config on SAP is also correct.

Can anyone smell where is the problem. The SAP people say the problem is in MQ and MQ people say problem is in SAP.

Please let me know any suggestions

The SAP system may need a new profile to recognise the user that is in charge. Creating a new profile will provide you a lot of informations to user. I don´t know the user that is used but try to discover and say it to SAP people.

Well raj, if everything is ok...
If you really have checked client number, userid, password and language, if the SAP Client is working WITH THIS userid, if the phisical link is ok... did you check the ports in etc/services? There's a couple of definitions you have to setup. Look over http://www-3.ibm.com/software/integration/mqfamily/library/manualsa/amqlar05/amqlar05tfrm.htm to make sure you didn't forget anything!

Hi ,

The message is coming from Legacy to AIX. Do you think i have to use Dataconver option to YES in the sender channel on legay to conver message to ASCII??

Yes raj.

It seems to be a conversion problem MQSeries is not handling and Link for R/3 is not able to recognize the Transactional Id.

Hi,

When the same legacy system is trying to send IDOCS to SAP3.1I it is fine .IDOCS are getting transmitted into SAP. When the same Legacy is sending IDOCS to SAP4.6 we have the problem.MQLINK is not able to connect to the SAP4.6 client. I guess there is some diff in 3.1 AND 4.6 IDOC structure.MQ is not able to understand the control record data.

Just a comment, but IY51171 (test fix from IBM) addresses a problem where MQ R/3 Saplink fails to connect to an updated SAP kernel, failing at the create transid call:
