Hi,
Platform : Mainframe / IMS
We are bringing mainframe transaction down as a part of daily maintainance for around 2 minutes in night time. mainframe Qmgr is supposed to pass the message to OTMA which in turn invokes mainframe transaction.
During these two minutes whatever messages reaching OTMA are getting rejected back as OTMA is not able to invoke the transaction. The rejected messages are going to DLQ of mainframe Qmgr with MQRC 2184.
I couldnt make it out what the sense code mean here and where to look this sense code ?
Further, can there be ageneric solution so that these messages shouldn't go to DLQs ?
LOG........
STC09821 CSQ2004E MQE1+ CSQ2QCP1 ERROR USING QUEUE

The sense 001A0019 is this:
Explanation: IMS detected an error and canceled the message before putting it on the IMS queue for processinmg. Usually , an IMS message (accompanying the NAK describes the problem.
This is the 001A
The 0019 is:
SMB Transaction/LTERM is stopped. See DFS065.
On Open Transaction Manager Access Guide and Reference (SC26-9434-00) IMS v7. (PAG 55). |

Thanx LuisFer for your response
Can you answer my second qns also . Is there any way so that we can prevent these messages from going to DLQ and reapplied after some time interval ?
Thanx,
Amar |

The DLQ with the OTMA Brigde is needed. If not exits DLQ the bridge not working & it will not work the OTMA client.
A solution is putting the GET disabled for the queue, during the stop of the Tx. The messages will stay in the queue & when retrieves the normal situation change the GET to Enabled.
Too, You can make a program (or the CSQDLQH util) to re-put the messages on the OTMA queue.
Sorry for my bad english. |
