Hi ,

We have MQ,MQLink for R/3 for integrating SAP on AIX and OS/390. I want to identify what are the failovers that can occur or what are the type of problems that occur for which we have to attend.

For post implimentation support we want to identify the general maintanace and production support problems that arise.

Can some one give me a list of points.

Well Iam assuming your a talking about a high availablity cluster ????
There is a support pac for this on the IBM Website, but 2 things to remeber


http://www-306.ibm.com/software/integration/support/supportpacs/product.html#wmq

1) When creating sender channels that connect to the clustered MQ use the virutal HOST/IP address so that when the package fails over the boxs will talk to the new box.
2) Channel Sequence numbers may get out of sync depending on when the failure occurs

My question was what are the types of monitoring or support needed? We want to propose for budget for MQ person.I would like t know what will be the regular roles performed by the MQ person?
