Hi,

Unable to install Websphere MQ5.3 on windows 2000 professional.. Gives "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation" error...

Is the userid attempting the install a member of the local administrators group?

FYI Froom google, and not confirmed:
Check your settings here:
Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer]

Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value, called "DisableMSI"
and set it according to (0 = default, 1 = admin only, 2 = disabled).
