I've tried this on both linux and solaris without success. I can get JMS Point-Point messaging with 'full' MQ working no problem, but on a linux WAS v5.00 install when trying to create the TopicConnectionFactory I received errors concerning authentication, and when I supply a suitable authentication alias I always receive 'incorrect authorisation information'.
This is with security in WAS OFF.
On a solaris installation of WAS v5.02 the situation is worse - it complains
that it cannot contact the broker at all and suggests that a V1 broker is
not available. We have tried both 'basic' and 'advanced' broker type in the JMS TCF config ('basic' is V1 I believe)
In both cases it is a standard install of MQ 5.3 with the latest release of MA0C supportpac providing the broker, and the broker is running and working (supplied stand-alone samples work)

Anyone any thoughts?
Neil

I haven't done this on Linux or Solaris. I do have it running on Windows. When I've seen problems similar to this, it was usually related to having some "bad" messages on some of the broker input queues. This keeps my valid messages from being processed and causes some general failures.

The other things that I would check...I'm assuming that you are defining WebSphere MQ JMS resources. Make sure that you have the qmgr name in the correct case. If you are running MA0C, select Basic. Look for any *.FDC files or weird error messages in your AMQERR*.LOG files.

If this doesn't help, post the top of your SystemOut.log. There might be something in it that will shed more light.

A complete reinstall of MQ then WAS solved the problems... bit drastic!
