MQSeries 5.2
MQSI 2.1
I have one qmgr at AS/400, today the sender channel at this qmgr can't connect to our broker qmgr at UNIX platform. It keep on retrying, i try to stop start the qmgr and reset the channel also. At as400 can ping to the broker server ip address.
But broker qmgr can send the message to AS/400 qmgr and other platform can connect to broker qmgr.
I try to ping the channel via the wrkmqm -> channel menu, i getting the error message as per below:

What is the problem here? We not changing any setting on both server.
Please help me on this error  . Urgently....

Dear All,
Sunday i found out at AS400 qmgr, if i create one new channel connect to the broker qmgr with other port number. It can bring up and running smoothly  , but if i use the new channel connect to the old port. It back to retrying also .
So now i temporary let the new channel up and connect to the new port at broker qmgr.
Any one got any advice for us to check or solve this problem?

Dear All,
I try to recreate the sender at AS400, but it still on retrying mode.
Anyway, we reported to IBM. They have a customer facing the same problem also, they say it the port is corrupted at AS400 (?  ).
We are waiting their solution, see whether we can use back the old port or not.

Dear All,
At this stage, this error may due to the network or the OS. Because when i change my PC to other rang of IP, the MQ Explorer can't connect to the broker with the port number 1600 but can connect to 1414.
I try to stop start the inetd service at broker machine, but it doesn't help.
What is the possibility of this error/problem cause? What is the next step i should try?

Dear All,
Last two week, I been find out the problem of this issue.
In UNIX, it have one file call inetd.sec at /var/adm directory to control the inetd process accessible. Our system admin is changing the file and it causing this issue. After we add the AS/400 IP address in the inetd.sec file, the MQSeries at AS/400 able to connect 1600 port at UNIX server QM.
