I need to check if a specific container element value is null. I am unable to figure out a WF Java API call for it.

I need this because I have to access a container element (myContainer.getLong()), but when it is empty API call returns an Exception (Value not set).

If anybody knows an API call or knows a workaround, please let me know.

To my knowledge there is no way around this... But I guess I don't see how this is causing you a problem. Simply catch the 113 and make believe the value was null (or whatever you would like).

Perhaps I just dont understand.

Yeah, I can do that. I was just wondering if there are any direct API calls with out having to catch exceptions.
