Hello All..I have just recently been introduced to MQ series on the As/400 (iseries) and have been reading manuals and trying things out...however I have become abit confused with COA and COD.

I have tried to retrieve a COA using local queues. I am finding that I can put a message on the Queue setting all variable for the message descriptor and the do a 'GET' (which is successful) however I am unsure as to what I am suppossed to retrieve back i.e. Report....I do apologise for asking such questions but I need to start somewhere...I am also planning to write something with regards to COD once I can confirm the COA is working.....

Any pointers would be extremely helpful...many thanks in advance...

The COA and COD Report messages are placed in the queue named in the MQMD ReplyToQ Field, this where you will find the report messages.
