Hi,

Please anyone can let me know the ways we can deal with messages ........... like when a message is sent from one QManager to another QManager and the channel fails or other conditions ......
one way is like v have dead letter Q so messages will go there........
but if they are not defined then???? if the message is persistent then????

I would really appreciate if anyone could help me...

Thanks.

Dont think this is the appropriate thread for this post. But let me answer your queries.

If channel is in retry state or is not started, messages land up in the sender's transmission queue, unless you have channel triggering set up and channel not running. Then channel would come up and transmit the messages.

If DLQ is not defined on the receiving qmgr, then the messages are lost if they are Non persistent. If the messages are persistent, messages are backed out and channel stops.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
Kumar
