Hi,
By mistake Q Manager Log file got deleted. When i tried to startup the Q Manager it was giving error LOG file not found. I created a dummy LOG file but it is not solving the problem, i mean it is not recognising the newly created dummy LOG file.
Can anybody help me out in this ..
Thanks in advance

You probably will have to drop and recreate your queue manager, unless you can restore your log files from backups somewhere. If you haven't been backing up your log files, now is a good time to start (although yesterday would have been better! )

The queue manager during startup attempts to reconcile any outstanding transactions in the log files. The queue manager knows what the oldest log file it needs for startup is. Since it can't find it or any of the newer log files, it won't start.

You can use the saveqmgr support pack to dump your MQSeries configuration for your current queue manager to a file, and then delete and recreate your queue manager. Then you can use runmqsc to run the file you saved and recreate all your objects.

Stop your Queue Manager. Well not really needed as you can't start it.

Create a new one, different name, with the same Log options as the original. Stop this one, cleanly. Copy the relevent lfh and log files from the new to the old. Restart the old. Delete the new.

Cheers,
