I'm having a problem starting the Client Trigger Monitor Service.

It is installed successfully but doesn't seem to find the necessary dll's
on startup. I copied the entire WebSphere MQ\bin directory to the
directory from where I installed the Client Trigger Monitor Server, this
causes it to start but I doens't seem to be able to connect to the queue
manager.

I receive the following error in the event log:
"MQCONN" returned 2058 for queue"

My MQSERVER variable is definitly a system variable and my classpath is
fine. When running the trigger monitor from the command line using
runmqtmc it works fine.

I'm trying to use the Trigger Monitor Service so that it can automatically
reconnect to the queue manager on the server if the connection to the
server is broken.

I know that I can use a batch file to achive the same thing but I would like
to use the service since nobody would log on the this server if it is
rebooted which would cause a problem with a batch file.

Thanks
Jason

Jason, in the config file for MA7K, there is a parameter called MQSeriesDLL.

Is it set to mqic32.dll, which would allow you to run the service in client mode? Or is it incorrectly (for your scenario) set to mqm.dll, which will only work if you want to connect to a QM that is installed on the same server as MA7K?

Do you have only the MQClient installed on this machine? Or do you have a full MQServer as well?

Thanks for your reply,

Only the client is installed on this box and the config file specifies the client dll and not mqm.dll.

I think I'll reload and see what happens since I didn't do the installation myself.

Thanks
