Hi,
The mqsicreatebroker command fails with error code BIP2321, BIP2322 and BIP8040. It says "unable to load the specified driver".
I am using Oracle 9.2.0.1 client on AIX5.2 to connect to Oracle 8.1.7 database on solaris.
Find below the command used to createbroker:
mqsicreatebroker testbroker -i mqm -a mqmuser12 -q testqm -n ORACLEDB -u mqm -p mqm
The odbc.ini file has the following entry:
************************
ORACLEDB=MERANT 3.70 Oracle 8 Driver
[ORACLEDB]
Driver=/usr/opt/wmqi/merant/lib/UKor816.so
WorkArounds=536870912
WorkArounds2=2
Description=Oracle8
ServerName=INT5D
Loginid=mqm
Password=mqm
EnableDescribeParam=1
OptimizePrepare=1
*******************************
I tested the connection using SQL*Net.
********************
$ sqlplus mqm@INT5D
SQL*Plus: Release 9.2.0.1.0 - Production on Mon Sep 15 10:48:20 2003

Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.7.2.0 - Production
With the Partitioning option
JServer Release 8.1.7.2.0 - Production
SQL>
****************
I ran the mqsi_setupdatabase script and the links were created as below.
***********************************
mqsisetupdatabase oracle8 $ORACLE_HOME
Creating link /var/wmqi/lib/libclntsh.a to /orasrc/app/oracle/product/9.2.0/lib/libclntsh.a

Any ideas, views why is it happening.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,

The mqsicreatebroker command doesn't use the odbc.ini file. That is only used when running the broker.
Have you sourced in the Oracle profile, as well as the MQSI stuff, into the profile of the user where you are issuing the command.
