I'am trying to create elements with same name but different identifier within the same message set, but I'am getting the error messgae saying "The name is already existing Try with a different name" . Can anybody please suggest a solution to this.

The element name and identifer must be unique within the message set.

Thanks for the response Kirani
But I do have message sets having elements with the same name but different identifier. But when I try to create them its doesnt allow me to do so.

Are the names exactly same, I mean same case (upper/lower)? Do they belong to same message set or base message set?
This is also documented in WMQI manuals. What version of WMQI are you using?

Yeah the elements have exaclty the same name even the case and they do belong to same mesage set.
I'am using WMQI 2.1.
