Hi,
I'm currently running with MQ 5.2.1 on Solaris and am therefore constrained to a MAXDEPTH of 640,000 messages.
My intention had been to size the queues to handle up to 24 hours of system / network outage but this would require a depth greater than 640,000 for some of the queues that I require.
Does anyone know of any ways around this (other than switching to OS/390!)?
Does 5.3 allow for greater queue depths?
Thanks. _________________ Cheers! |

Yes. From the 5.3 Application Programming Reference, under the description of MaxQDepth
Quote: |
On AIX, HP-UX, z/OS, Solaris, Linux, and Windows, the value cannot exceed 999 999 999. |

Thanks - hmmm, maybe an upgrade is in order - I'm guessing it should be a fairly painless procedure.... _________________ Cheers! |
