Hi ,

I have installed MQ5.2 on my home PC. It says default configuration canot be set up on the system. But i am able to create QM's and all MQ objects and send messages from one QM to the other.

How can i setup the defauly config.

More to the point, if you've set up Queue Managers and can send messages, why do you want the 'default configuration'. All it does is build a Queue Manager based on your machine name.

I guess it has something to do with the "First Steps" on the Windows platform.
Did you ran the "First Steps" before creating any queue managers?

Hi,

Yes it doesnt allow the Postcard to run in the Firststeps. Anyway i am able to configure and run MQ Series.So i dont think i have a problem anymore.
