I need to put Japanese characters in a queue in the following scenario:

1. An application, DCOM and MQSeries client are running on a W2K adv. server. The installation is English with Japanese language support and locale set to Japanese.
2. An MQSeries server is running on AIX 4.3.3
3. The application creates data with English and Japanese characters
4. DCOM is putting the data in a local queue (on the MQ server) via the MQ client.

While doing this the Japanese characters get lost.
Setting the default locale (on the W2K server) to Japanese would help but is not an option.

Can anybody help please?
