Try writing an MQSC "DEFINE CHANNEL" command that has CHLTYPE anywhere other than as the first argument. |

Yes, that's really sad. |
It's one instance of several different schools of design fighting each other within the overall structure of MQSC.
It's what gives us "DEFINE QLOCAL" and "DEFINE CHANNEL CHLTYPE" and "SET CHLAUTH ACTION(DELETE)".
And 'really sad' is not remotely the adjective I would use. |
