runmqsc does not have a switch to allow you to edit CCDTs same as mqsc -n
To manage a CCDT file using standard MQ facitilties, you can create a qmgr, set MQCHLLIB and MQCHLTAB to point to the CCDT of interest, start the qmgr, and then issue runmqsc commands for CLNTCONN channels.
If you need an empty CCDT to begin with, take a copy of the new qmgr's AMQCLCHL.TAB file.
The qmgr needs to be on a MQ version which is not newer than the version of the MQ clients that will be using it. The qmgr userid (mqm on UNIX) needs read/write access to the file. The CCDT format is cross platform compatible, eg. you can manage a CCDT for UNIX MQ clients on a Windows server. _________________ Glenn
