I asked you how you know the messages are not expiring, and your reply is that you were told by the other team.
The 'garbage collector' function on most platforms purges expired messages when the next MQGET is performed on the queue in question.
An expired message will NOT be delivered to an application.

Proves nothing. How do you know they're not expired?

You've had all the help you need with the code. Prove you really have a problem and we'll help with that. Once you've proved there's a problem.
