Hi all,
Could anyone explain wht are the necessary queues needed to setup in WMQ for connectors(Jtext/JDBC/SAP)? Do we need to define local queues or remote queues ?
I would like test the scenario in the local system so obviously i will be using a default QMGR, 1 client conn channel, how many queues do we need to configure for each connector ??? please suggest

i have already configured the qmgr,channel definitions...jst need an idea how many queues r required for a connector ? example right now am working on JText & JDBC connectors.. really appreciate ur help if u could jst tell me how many queues ? thr naming format ? r they local or remote...i know how to define queues..jst need to know r they local or remote....

i am not sure, where to post now, due to your double post
I guess there will be around 8 queues to be created for the adapter.
Adapter is a different component in your case [JText or JDBC] so you need to define client - server connections and all the required queues for the same.

this is independent, i cant able to give the queue names, it will be displayed in your connector profile.

We prefer discussions be done on the forum, where everyone can see and benefit.

Yeah i too understand that...but to be more specific i have asked for tht..even am very new to this WICS...and unfortunately am not getting enough help ..so mostly am waisting time in searching for the necessary information.
Really appreciate if u could share me some documents/hands-on lab samples on WICS or share me a link where i can find the same.

Not personally. Ask me about WMQ/WMB & you'll have more luck.
I suspect the WICS are as proprietory as the WMQ & WMB ones. Hence they're not on the web and anyone who's been on the course will be subject to the standard agreement not to distribute the materials.

WICS is out of support now. i am not sure about the documents for this right now.
Training, you have to get hold of IBM Education team
I discussed this with you...if i remember properly....
or you have to talk to your employer to provide the proper details and help to achieve.
Secondly...you are working with two different components
1. WICS thats already out of support
2. JText and JDBC adapters - different kind of configuration
We have to understand it properly before setting up and configuring the same.
how ever you may get a very less help on this regard...  as it is not in support range...

Finally taken an initiative to migrate interfaces from WICS ?Could anyone share me your thoughts/ideas on migration of WICS ?
Which one will be the best option for migration. Please suggest ?
1.Websphere Message Broker.
2.Websphere Process server.
3.Oracle fusion.
4.SAP PI.

I thought that the Connector Adapter set up gave queue names in itself so teh list of queues should be easy to find
