Hi all,
I'm migrating some stuff from 2.1 and would like to rename some message sets to comply to new naming conventions. I find that the Rename option for the folder containing the .mset file is disabled. It's really hard to understand why this should be, since evreything is stored in transparent (sort of ) textfiles. Any work-arounds available, or am I stuck with the old name?

Well, it would seem that if I rename the folder in the file system and change the reference to the old name in all files where I can find it (again outside the toolkit), then refresh and rebuild the project, it seems to work. (Haven't actually tested it yet, just confirmed that I can save it without errors).
Whats the reason this can't be done in the toolkit?

There are several refactor features we would like to add to the message editor in the V5 toolkit. This is one of them. Other features had a higher priority.
You should be aware that because the ESQL editor and the Mapping editor both reference message sets, if they have cached the link then your renaming will have broken their cache. You should find this out pretty quickly |
