fmcautil is administration utility. It can be used to see the logs, server info, (including startup and shutdowns etc), session info etc.
fmczutil is used for configuring work flow client. You can create/modify client config info. with this.
It is working fine in 3.4. |

fmcautil and fmczutil run on all platforms. I suggest you have a look at the installation and Admin manuals. _________________ John McDonald

It is infact much more than that. You can create workflow server also with this utility on all distributed platforms.

It is working for me. What other workflow commands can you use?
fmcibie, fmcautil, fmczchk, fmczccd ... any of these. Maybe the workflow commands are not in the PATH. |

Hi vennela,
They all are working fine. This command also, when I execute from teh command line, there are no error messages, nothing and at the sametime no action as well. It just comes out and dispalys the command prompt that's it. do I need to apply any fix packs to overcome this issue? _________________ Gopi |

Run fmczchk to see if there are any errors with Workflow Configuration
If you havent applied SP1 do it and try again. _________________ -Ratan |

Did you ever find a fix for this? I also can't execute fmczutil in Windows...just returns the prompt after a 5-second wait. All other commands are working. |

On Windows? Not exactly....have full admin privileges on the box though, if that's what you meant. |

Sorry, I didn't read the post right and for some reason I thought it was UNIX.
But:
Code: |
C:\Documents and Settings\kiran.BRAHMA>fmczutil
FMC33201I Configuration Commands Menu:
l ... List
s ... Select
c ... Create
x ... Exit Configuration Commands Menu
x
C:\Documents and Settings\kiran.BRAHMA>fmczchk
FMC34010I: Configuration checker version 3.5.0.116 started.
|
Works fine for me.
What version? What service level |

Are you at the latest fixpack level. If not apply it and try again. _________________ -Ratan |

This quote from WF SP3 readme :
Quote: |
2.2.1 DB2 Version 8
It is recommended to use DB2 Version 8 FP6a or higher. With earlier versions you
may have permanent problems after a deadlock occurs. If you have these problems
you must install FP6.
If you are using DB2 Version 8, FP4 or FP5, you also need to install the
DB2 hotfix JRJR19452. If you use these FPs without the APAR, fmczutil will terminate silently without any error message.
