Hi,

It seems that a channel was ended but I'm not able to understand the explanation? What does it mean "is currently not enabled"?? Why exactly was it stopped?

---------------------------------
AMQ9534: Channel 'XXX' is currently not enabled.

EXPLANATION:
The channel program ended because the channel is currently not enabled.
ACTION:
Issue the START CHANNEL command to re-enable the channel.
---------------------------------

Thanks,

Jignesh.

Was a manual "stop chl" issued against the channel in question?

When you do a "dis chs(CHANNEL.NAME)" what do you see as the status?

I don't know how to perform that command...MQ is running on a Windows 2000 Server machine, not a UNIX box.

Nothing to do with unix vs windows
Just go to a dos prompt and issue the command
Code:
runmqsc  [qmgrname]

The qmgrname is optional (when addressing default qmgr) and case sensitive !!

When you are done get a new line, type "end" and hit the return key

Enjoy

You were asked to do a display channel status:
dis chs
NOT a display channel (dis chl)

Thanks

This looks much more like it.
This is the typicall reply when the channel is inactive.
If your channel is triggered everything is normal and you should not worry.

You specified xmitq(QM2) in your channel setup.
Show us the make up for the xmitq:

dis ql(qm2) all

Thanks
