Hi,
We migrated some of the flows and sets from WMQI2.1 to WBIMB/CSD4. Also developpers made few changes to the flows and deployed the Bar files. When ever we try to send a message through the flow the Event viewer show up with the following messages,

The description for Event ID ( 2642 ) in Source ( BIPv500 ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: WBIMB_EXGRP, REQUEST_MSGFLOW.Send Error Reply Msg.

We have a message set 'XYZ' is common for the execution groups x,y and z and depolyed same message set for all these execution groups. What happens if i remove a message set from one of the execution group and redeploy ? or do i need different names on each execution group(bar file)?
Instead of doing 3 times shell i create a new execution group and depoy it on the broker?

Venkat,

First off, it looks like you're experiencing the same issue that Karen encountered last year, regarding error descriptions not displaying properly in the Event Viewer. See the thread she posted for a suggestion for rectifying this problem:
http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=11014

In the meantime, to determine the error descriptions, you can enter each of the Event Id(s) here:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wbihelp/topic/com.ibm.etools.mft.bipmsgs.doc/au18400_.htm

I'm a little unclear here. When you redploy, is the message set included in the BAR file?
If the message set is in the BAR file, then nothing happens. Successful deploy.
If the message set is not in the BAR file, you'll also receive a successful deploy. However, when the message flows, within that execution group, are invoked during runtime, and attempt to reference an element from the mesage set, it will fail (probably a dictionary error of some sort). In WBIMB, the message sets are no longer shared amongst the various execution groups, but are now encapsulated within each execution group.

Again, I'm a little unclear as to your question, different names of what? The 'XYZ' message set, with its name intact, can be replicated in multiple execution groups. The same BAR file can be used to deploy the message flow(s)/message set to each execution group.

There are a number of factors that you have to evaluate. Take a look at Tim Dunn's research in the IP69 (AIX) performance supportpac. Refer to the section titled Parallel Processing Options:

Thanks JT.

We have 3 execution groups uses the same message set and we removed the message set from one of the execution group and redeploy the same bar file. Just it's our thought that removing a message set causing the " rmLoadDictionary, DPHNBDS0CS001" error.

Sorry i am trying to say "different message set name for each executiion group even it has same functionality" obviously it's a different bar file.

We are still investigaing the issue. I let you know if i find any thing.

We fixed this issue by changing the db2 configuration parameters,MAXAPPLS for the Broker database(db2 cc-->broker DB-->Configure paramenters).

Some of the problems, if you exceed the number of connections limit...

Can not stop or start a flow
Can not do a deploy
If you bounce the broker some flows are working and some are not.
Event viewer errors like "number of connections exceeded for the broker"

If you are using default databse instance(db2) then it will allocate number of connections automatically depend on number of flows and execution groups connecting to the broker database.
But in our case we created a database instance on HA(MSCS) and the value was fixed(default 40). So out of 100 flows only few flows working at certain time and might not work after the broker restart(connections established for different flows).

Finally we increse the MAXAPPLS value and deployed all flows successfully.

IT is also a good idea to stop your broker and kill any connection to your Broker database manually. Sometime these connections stay there and eventually you will run out of max connections.
