Hello all,

Thanks,

In the past, V2.1 supportpacs (i.e. Get All Environment Variables Plug-in, LDAP Plug-in) that were upgraded to support the V.5.0 environment were temporarily withdrawn, before returning for general availability.

Based on the popularity of the MQGet plug-in , I would guess it too is being upgraded for the v5.0 environment.

JT,
1. Are there any particular reasons listed out , why MQGET Support pac is not supported in WBIMB environment but works well in WMQI ?

2. If we manage to sucessfully deploy it in WBIMB, is it suggested "better not use it" because it is not supported.

Thanks,
pvemuri.

For one, there is a different set of libraries for WBIMB that are used in upgrading the plug-ins. Apparently, other developers have successfully upgraded the MQGet plug-in to work in the v5.0 environment. See this post: http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=15930

That's a risk you'll have to assess for yourself.

Hi Vemuri,

I believe IBM support and development team members meet to discuss the usefulnes / download times of the plugins and decide which ones to keep and which ones to drop support.

I have gotten MQGet support pac to work on Windows platform and did not get a chance to compile it on UNIX boxes. Let me know if any one is need for WBI-MB and I can send the plugin node project as well as the source and lil files.
