Sorry .. Probably I have asked a wrong Question.
I understand that
1. Queue Managers
2. Listeners
3. Monitors
etc.. (dunno how many else yet )
need to be manually started or putup in a start up script.

Which of the following is true.

a. But does MQ series as such needs to be started..? (By MQ I mean a whole set of process-- that always keep running in the background which respond to our commands)
or
b. There is nothing like a process or a set of MQ processes running which always keep running.

I come from a Oracle background , and if the OS goes for a reboot , then the services(Servers,Listeners etc which constitute the entire set of processes which respond to our commands) need to be restarted.
Looks like MQ doesnt have a set of processes that keep running in the background that responds to commands like strmqm , crtmqm , runmqsc..etc
Thnx in advance

b is true.
MQ processes start running only when a queue manager is started. Every queue manager has its own set of proceses. MQ doesn't have overall process controller for all the queue managers.
