Hi All!
I have to implement the following staff assignment rule:
The activity should be assigned first to the process starter (one people), and after an expiration time the activity should be assigned to a role.
My idea was the following:
The activity is encapsulated in a block. The staff assignment is "Data from predefined members" The incontainer contains two members first contains the userID second the role. The Phi before the activity maps these members to ACTIVITY_INFO.Peope and ACTIVITY_INFO.MembersOfRoles. First the activity is assigned to this People. The Block has a loop data connector. The member with the userID is not in the loop connector .After expiration only the role is defined therefore the activity is assigned to the specified role.
I thought that this solution should work.
But it does not work.
I tried to initialize the Peope container with "" in the loop connector but it does not work.
Do you have any other ideas?
thanks

I am not sure if you can do what you want using a single activity, I think you need a 2nd activity.
Your problem is happening because of the way the "from predefined" staffing in MQWF is done. Anytime _Activity_INFO.People is set, that is what is used. Generally, this rule has worked in my favor, because I wanted to go to a Role the first time, and a specific person on subsequent exectutions of the activity. In your case the rule is hurting you. _________________ John McDonald

thanks John!
I see now i have no other choice. I have to use a 2nd activity.
Actually i wanted to use only one activity definition because with this solution the model will have double size.
