Hello,

I have developed a flow which maps data from one CWF structure to another, both of which are defined in the MRM.
This flow works fine in my dev environment.
However, when i export the message sets and flow to my system test environment I get an error message of :

Quote:
ParserException BIP5285E: Message Translation Interface Parsing Errors have occurred:
Message Set Name : 'MW_ADHOC_COLLECTION_INPUT'
Message Set Level : '1'
Message Format : 'CWF'
Message Type Path : 'MW_ADHOC_COLLECTION_INPUT'
Review further error messages for an indication to the cause of the errors.
2004-08-09 15:33:04.335052 25 ParserException BIP5171E: Custom Wire Format parsing error
An error occurred while parsing a Custom Wire Format message.
Current message : 'MW_ADHOC_COLLECTION_INPUT'
Current element : 'CC1_HEADER_1'
Path from message root : '/MW_ADHOC_COLLECTION_INPUT'
Offset from start of message : 0
See following errors for more details.
2004-08-09 15:33:04.335080 25 ParserException BIP5518E: Dictionary load error.
An unknown error occurred while reading in the dictionary.

Does any one know what could be causing a Dictionary Load Error?

Thanks
Fazz

What version and fixpack are you running?

What procedures did you follow to move flows and sets from one environment to the other?

Did the import procedure to bring the moved flows and sets succeed?

Are there additional errors in your log that you haven't posted?

Version 2.1, not sure on the fixpack though as its mainframe and i'm not sure how to find out.....

Might be worth pointing out that I develop on Window XP and export to Z/OS 390.

I ran the mqsiimpexpmsgset command to export and import the message sets (which is the same way I've used for other message sets which are working)

And for the message flow, I used the Control Center to export and import.

Thats the only error message I have got, which came from a User Trace.

Cheers,
Fazz

The service level of the broker on Z/OS is important because you may be deploying function in a message set which is not supported on the brokers version.
However I'd have expected you'd get errors when deploying in this case.

You don't mention whether the deploy to the Z/OS broker succeeded.

I will try and find out.
The message set is quite simple and I have a lot of other similar message set that all work OK.

The deployment reported a success on Z/OS.

Generaly this error will occur when you are using an invalid message set identifier/name. Either because it does not exist or has not been successfully deployed to the broker.

It is a strange one.....

I have two brokers connected to the same config manager. The message set and flow work fine on one but not on the other.
Both report successful deploys.
When you deploy to a broker does the config manager store an entry in the config manager/broker database? could this be corupt in some way?

I said in the previous reply that it works on one broker and not other.......well.....thats not entirely true.

I have now realised it works the first time it is used and then fails subsequent attempts.

Are message sets loaded into memory each time they are called or just loaded the first time ?

That's very interesting. At this point I strongly recomend you raise a problem with IBM as this is very likely to be a bug.

You never did tell us what CSD level you were running on your brokers.
It could be that this has already been fixed.

Hi wooda,

We are running fixpack 3 and IBM have pointed out that our problem looks like it has been fixed in 5.

We've got it on order to arrive in the morning and we'll try it then.

Sorry to waste your time
