Hi All,
I am developing a Channel Exit program on Mainframes.
I am sending a message from Windows to Mainframes. The Channel Exit is a C program which should be run whenever a message flows through the Channel. The exit program should put the message that is sent, to an Event Queue, which is also on Mainframes. I have created the Exit module and have specified the module name in the Receiver Channel properties.
The Channel Exit is working and the message is being put into the Event Queue. But I am facing 2 problems –
The message goes to the Event Queue only the first time I send a message after creating the Channels. It is not working afterwards. I have to delete and create the Channels again for it to work again. If I specify the ‘RENT’ compiler option in the JCL, or using in the “#pragma options(RENT)” in the C program, the channel is not getting initiated. What has to be done to make the program re-entrant?
The message is not coming in the correct format to the Event Queue. The message has all the other data like the Header, Queue Manager name, Queue name, User name etc. But the sent data is not in the proper format. I tried setting the “Data Conversion” property of the Sender Channel on Windows to “Yes”, but this also didn’t work.
Can anybody help me with this?
Regards,
~MB. |
