System Information: MQ Workflow 3.4/AIX.

Currently, we have deployed a command handler for the Web Client, which calls an authentication exit which performs the authentication event against our LDAP instance. We have a request to allow fall through authentication to take place similar to what is available using PAM on various unixen. In this case, we would like to attempt authentication against LDAP first, then if that fails, fall through to performing a login against workflow directly and if that fails, throw FMC_LOGON_DENIED.

If I understand correctly, a command handler implicitly calls logon4() by default. Is it possible to explicitly call logon() via a command handler?

To my knowledge the default is logon() not logon4(). I believe you can change your command handler to accomplish what you are trying to do.

I don't see any problem with what you want to do, however, I question why you would want to do that. This would mean that you intend on keeping the LDAP directory in sync with the Workflow database. Seems like a lot of work! Why not just authenticate to LDAP and not bother with Workflow.
