Hi,
I understand that the IBM.WMQAX namespace is a wrapper for the MQAX200 COM classes. I would like to know more about it. Specifically, whether it calls COM objects under the covers or if it is completely .Net managed code.
If if uses COM behind the scenes, like a true wrapper class would, then I can't use it because it would include unmanaged code. On the other hand, if it only emulates the COM classes, but is 100% managed code itself, I would prefer using it to the new and dis-improved .Net classes.
Anxiously looking forward to your knowledgeable feedback! |

No, its a wrapper to the .net support (as far as I can tell from glancing at the code / know offhand). The xmq* vb samples also run without an mqax200 on the machine.
I would strongly recommend any new development to use the standard .net interface though (IBM.WMQ.*) unless there's really good reason! |
