agent location

one of our agents is down. It shows up as UNREACHABLE when i do a listagents.

when i do a showagentdetails, it shows the agent qmgr etc.,

when a agent is down. there seems to be no way to find out on which host the agent is running.

Pingagent doesn't help either.

any suggestions on how to find the agent hostname?

Did you try "fteShowAgentDetails -bl -v AGENTNAME" ? This shows the Operating System and Host Name of the agent.
If the agent is running, look at the MQ queue status of the command queue. This will show the IP address.
Your organisation should also have a CMDB that shows the location and purpose of all agents.....
