yes.. permission are/were fine on those logs .. which were getting used by the qmgr at that moment.

You were asked what permissions were set; but you replied that permissions were fine. What does 'fine' mean?

It is not uncommon for sysadmins to change permissions, incorrectly believing that some application or process needs more permissions than were set during by the WMQ install process.

Sorry but that answer doesn't cut it. It is missing the user and group names.

If the permissions are

-rw-rw---- system:system you still have a problem!
