				| Hi ,
I want to deliver url encoded message as a webservice call to a third party .

i assume java.net.URLEncoder.encode(String,'UTF-8') using this in java compute node we can do the url encoding .

For a webservice call is it possible to use java compute node withh http request node .

				| It is 'possible' to use any of the Compute Nodes in the scenario you describe.
Indeed, some of the sample flows do just that.

 The question is then, 'Why?"

an ordinary compute node does the job very well.

Please don't say, 'I've been told not to use ESQL Compute Nodes' (or anything similar)

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

I think the OP wants to use java.net.URLEncoder to construct the outgoing web service request.

				| If you are making a request with the HTTPRequest node, this node can automatically build a QueryString for you (url encoded) if you fill in the correct part of the LocalEnvironment before the node. See the infocenter for more details...
 Kind regards,
