Hi,
Is there any way I can get the file size from fileoutput node? I need to keep a log of the transferred file size. |

No but you can get the length of the input data. This is easy if you read the message as a BLOB and parse it later. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions. |

If you want to keep track of the transferred file size, you can have a Java app to know the file size and log it once the file is placed by WMB. |

There's no guarantee that the output file is anywhere that a standalone java application can be read from.
You can, as smdavies99 alluded to, keep track of the size of the messages that are passed to the FileOutput node. Passing them as blob and saving the length of that blob is a start, presuming that each output message represents a single file, and not a single record in a single file instead.
But it's not a simple problem and it's not clear that there's a good answer.
Best thing would be for someone to file a requirement or a PMR to get FileOutput to add written size to the Local Environment. |
