Hi Everyone,
I am relatively new to message broker, and certainly new to
the SOAPInput node.
I am somewhat of a junior so I apologuize in advance, but I was wondering if someone could guide me or explain to me how to test a message flow that starts with a SOAPInput Node? I would like
to run a debug session on the message flow.
Typcially I am use to using MQInout nodes than using RFHUtil to
write a test message onto the input queue (locally). That typcially
initates my debugging.
With this scenario, I am a little confused, truthfully I am somewhat
of a junior when it comes to webservices also.
I have created my message flow (in part) and would like to run a
debug session, to simply see how things are progressing at this point. However .... I am only equipped with a wsdl file (the one used for the SOAPInpout node) and no test data.
My testing is being done locally on my laptop so please any advice
is greatly appreciated.
Thanks once again |

Download a tool called SoapUI. Feed that your WSDL, make up some test data (as you would make up something to put on a queue with RFHUtil) and fire it at your SOAPInput node.
The flow will start as it would if a message was received by an MQInput node & you can debug as normal. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

You may need to modify the endpoint in soapUI to point to the broker on your laptop as opposed to whatever is listed in the WSDL.
soapUI will also generate an empty request for your operations. You will need to fill in the data for the request however. |
