Hi,
I have a POC to be done, where in I need to integrate our MQ server to the web.
Can you please advise on the possible option.
Cant use a WebSphere MQ bridge for HTTP, as the client doesnt want to add a new product.
Thanks |

AFAIK the http bridge is not a new product, it's part of the base product... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Hi,
MQ Bridge for HTTP needs an app server, so that the appserver can receive the web requests, and then connects to MQ.
Correct me if i am wrong

Apache I believe is sufficient. I thought an http server was a commodity these days... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

It's really not clear what you are trying to do.
You can't just expose MQ through HTTP. It's an entirely separate protocol with entirely separate behavior.
Absolutely everyone who does anything with MQ and HTTP does so by writing an http aware application that runs in an http container of some kind that then uses the MQ API calls to get or put messages to queues.
If you don't want to actually code this yourself, you can use the HTTP Bridge. But as mentioned, that is also an http aware application that sits in an http container and then uses MQ calls to get or put messages. |
