hi ,
Whenever we try to connect to MQ 7 qmanger using java client with proper username (non - root ) , we get below on log file (AMQERR01.LOG)
05/13/2011 12:05:00 PM - Process(3749.20365) User(root) Program(amqrmppa)
Host(demomq1)
AMQ9999: Channel program ended abnormally.
Now , not sure why it trying to start the channel using root userid , though all MQ process are running with mqm user only and java client uses their own specific user ,
Please note , that it started happening like this only today ,it was working fine earlier .
Please help |

Did you look at the previous error in the log, as the AMQ9999 message suggests? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

Why is user root running your channel? If the user running the channel has no authority you will never be able to connect using that channel.
And no, unless specified otherwise, user root does not have all authorities in MQ. Did you by any chance start the qmgr using root? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
