What if the message ends up in the DLQ instead of the application queue? |
There are scenarios for message getting into DLQ, it will not go to DLQ just like that. |
Messages often go to the DLQ "just like that"; that's the point of the DLQ. It's the queue of last resort in the event of a problem.
The point is that message arrival (or not) is a bit less cut & dried than you're indicating.
The other point is that the queue manager logs are not the best means of proving anything in this area. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Your premise that if a message appears in the log, AND the message is not present in the application queue, THEN the message has been successfully processed, is false.
Sysadmin have no little or no control as to whether a message ends up in the DLQ. App developers have less control. This is precisely why WMQ implements a DLQ.
I would strongly suggest that you not make this claim to management or auditors. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

Still I don't agree that message will go to DLQ "just like that". There are reasons for this. This is point of discussion.
If we are using MQ and message are going to dead letter queue, means there could be any reason, queue full, queue not present, etc..

I agree with your comment, that was my question for this post and I got the answer and support pack MA0Z works nice.
MQ message flow depends and controlled through a number of ways. I am really glad to see such a nice discussion here and would like to discuss more on new topics.
Thanks @All for your help and I got the solution for my problem. |
