I am running WMQ 701, and WMB 7 on z/OS
I can connect to the WMB groker through the TK
I can connect to queues using Java JMS
But I can not access the WMQ Explorer, when I try to connect, I get an 2059 (Q mgr not avail) error, even through the qmgr is running, and I can connect thru WMB to the broker.
The firewall is down.
Any ideas |

When I logon to the broker through the Explorer, it connects to the broker, then gives me a Qmgr session, with folers for Queues, Topics, etc, but When I click on Queues, it will not t show me any of them |

I just connected to the qmgr thorugh a round-about process
I connected to the broker via the explorer, this brought up a valid qmgr, and I can access the queues now
I still can not connect directly to the qmgr without a 2059, I can only connect to the qmgr, if I connect to the broker.
Anyone have any idea why this is ? |

Check whether the SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN channel is present and running. This kinda provides a way for access from other MQ explorers to connect to Qmgr present in another system.
This kinda solved my problem once when a guy in another machine had to connect to my local Qmgr ..
Just let me know what happens !! |

There SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN was present and running.
Basically, since I can get access to the qmgr by connecting to the broker (this brings up the qmgr), I am getting access in that back door fashion) |

This is a 1,000,000 to one shot but is it the v6 Explorer or the v7? I can't see why that would make any difference but still.....
Also how have you got Eclipse configured? I observe from your posts you seem to have the WMQ perspective in the WMB toolkit; how has that been set up? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Broker is on z/OS... ?
Do you have CAF? I know you're using MQv7 which has a 5 connection limited CAF for admin purposes only.... but it might not have been abled per se.
Broker Toolkit does funny stuff to talk to Broker/Configmgr on zed without needing a CAF... |
