| Im using websphere MQ 7.0.1. Im looking for automatic re connection from my JMS client to the MQ server after the MQ server is restarted. Should I do any configuration changes on MQ server for reconnection. Appreciate any help on this. |

What did you try?

Are you thinking of using multi-instance queue managers? If so, then server and application changes are required. If not, then possibly application changes only will be needed. |

What does automatic reconnection mean in Websphere MQ 7.0.1 ?
Im using one instance of queue manager. Im looking for automatic reconnection to the MQ server after the server gets restarted, from my Jmslistener. What are the application changes required? |

There are updates to the MQ manuals for 7.0.1, describing all this stuff. Here's the main page http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmqv7/v7r0/index.jsp There's a search box at the top on the left of the page - type the word reconnect in there, and click the GO button. The most relevant hits should appear at the top of the list. |
