Dear All,
last activity in the Block ended with status finished, its output fields match the block's exit condition, but the block still shows as running.
Also, the block's output container did not update.
What would be the possibilities? |

Is the Output container of the last activity properly mapped to the Sink of the block? _________________ John McDonald

I think it is mapped because this is the case with three process instances among several process instances running productive(same process template).
It is strange that only 3 process instances got affected.
When the last activity finished the output container of the block should be mapped, and why the output container of block did not update?
How can I verify or simulate the case(in test environment)? |

Since I don't understand what caused the problem, I can not tell you how to simulate in your test environment.
Assuming you still have access to these three instances that are showing this issue, you should use the monitor to examine the input/output containers, and to examine the status of each activity. _________________ John McDonald

Can u find out if there was a database deadlock when the last activity finished?
Have you checked if there are any messages pending in the Hold Queue of the execution server? |

I hope in case of those three process instances, after the block has completed, maybe no route condition satisfies and hence the scenario. You can easily simulate the above in your test environment and verify. |

Normally I wouldn't respond to a response to an old post... BUT what you are saying is wrong. If no condition was met coming out of the block the instance would terminate. _________________ John McDonald
