There are 5 processes in MQ. If I am told to kill a process, which process do I kill?. Is it the controller process?. If so why?. Usually we only kill the command server at the end, because a command server is used to admin the local and remote queue manager. It's an alternative to MQ explorer. Also from my understanding even when we end a queue manager using endmqm -p <qm> but then some process could be still running. Therefore the PS command can be used to kill all the process.

why do you have to kill processes?

why do u have to kill the Command Server when you can use endmqcsv command.

We have commands to stop all processes. Always use them. If it refuses to stop because of some reason, only then kill the process.

then you have a problem. Very rarely will one have to kill a process.

You can do a ps -ef | grep amq ... you can kill all these processes
