hey guys i have 2 doubts
1) i have a flat text file. in that file i consider even the blank spaces
as a column. say after that blank spaces next variable values starts
with either a negative sign or positive sign followed by some value.
i want to put that negative or positive sign at the end of the variable
instead in the begining.
i tried that overlay function but it is not working.
please help me in this regard.
2)Also i have defind my queue depth as 5000 but i put 844 msgs i could
able to see only 200 msgs. when i browse through msgs in the queue properties
it is showing first 200 msgs. even if i refresh it is
showing the same.
is there any option to view all the 844 msgs. |

Hi,
(Hopefully) Answering your second question first, what are you using to browse messages? MQ Explorer, or a third-party tool? If you are on a distributed systems machine (NT, Unix, VMS) then you can use the sample utility "amqsbcg". The location of this varies as to platform, for example it's in /opt/mqm/samp/bin for Unix, <MQS_ROOT>\tools\c\samples\bin for NT, and for VMS try SYS$ROOT:[SYSHLP.EXAMPLES.MQSERIES.BIN]AMQSBCG.EXE
This dumps the whole queue out in Hex and where possible ASCII text. This is not for application use, more for debugging. Is this what you want?
2) I'm not too sure what you mean by an overlay function. MQ doesn't handle text files directly. Can you explain more, like what platform (Operating System) you are on, and what tools you are using? |
