WMQ V 6.0.2.2
I have stoped a MQ manager from MQ explore but it do not finich.
In the log from the MQ manager the last messages is this :
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15-11-2007 16:06:06 - Process(3796.2 User(BATWBIADM) Program(amqrmppa.exe)
AMQ9542: Queue manager is ending.
EXPLANATION:
The program will end because the queue manager is quiescing.
ACTION:
None.
----- amqrmssa.c : 2385 -------------------------------------------------------
But when I try to start the manager I get :
WebSphere MQ queue manager 'MQSINT02' ending.
exitvalue = 49
There are 3 more managers on the box so a rebot is not a option.. |

Does dspmq show the qmgr as 'stopped' or 'stopping'?
Did you try adding a force option to endmqm? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

When you'll try restarting the qmgr don't use the GUI use amqmdain and look at the output. It will probably tell you that you can't start the qmgr because process # 123 still has a handle on it. You will need to identify that process and stop the service having a handle on the qmgr (MDB) or kill the offending process (extreme prejudice talk to the app owner first) before you can restart the qmgr correctly....

Kill all broker processes - bipservice, bipbroker, DataFlowEngine, biphttplistener, etc.
Then see if the qmgr ends. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

There wouldn't be anything there.
There'd just be more entries in the Application log in Event Viewer. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Are you sure the Application Log in the Event Viewer doesn't have any entries for the Broker complaining about DB access? _________________ Peter Potkay
