Hi,
I'm rather green when it comes to MQ. It usually works without incident for me. However in trying to troubleshoot a problem, I was reading my error log and found these two messages:
Quote: |
9/28/2007 09:43:48
AMQ6120: An internal WebSphere MQ error has occurred.
EXPLANATION:
An error has been detected, and the MQ error recording routine has been called.
ACTION:
Use the standard facilities supplied with your system to record the problem
identifier, and to save the generated output files. Contact your IBM support
center. Do not discard these files until the problem has been resolved.
----- amqxfdcp.c : 626 --------------------------------------------------------

AMQ6184: An internal WebSphere MQ error has occurred on queue manager METCWI.
EXPLANATION:
An error has been detected, and the WebSphere MQ error recording routine has
been called. The failing process is process 5548.
ACTION:
Use the standard facilities supplied with your system to record the problem
identifier, and to save the generated output files. Contact your IBM support
center. Do not discard these files until the problem has been resolved. |
My questions are:
1. What "standard facilities" is it referring to?
2. How do I research this further? It seems rather general.
TIA,
Jeff |

It's basically saying "record this information somewhere else, so it won't get lost", and "do not delete any .FDC files that are in the MQ Error directory until after you've contacted IBM Support". _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Event logs on Windows, system logs on Unix, etc, etc, etc

PMR with IBM Support as has been suggested. The Probe Id at the top of the FDC is worth a Google as well. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
