All,
I have a question about the option to let the mq explorer prompt for the workspace.
We are administrating 3 environments and using 3 different explorers for each environment. Every explorer has it's own workspace.
Now we have to start the MQ explorer using the shortcut and after startup switch it to the correct workspace.
I have tried the option within the MQ explorer to prompt for a workspace, but this won't work. The prompt just doesn't appear after starting up.
We used to have several shortcuts to the correct msc file of the old explorer. I tried this on the command line, but couldn't figure this out.
Anyone has an idea how to configure the MQ explorer properly?
Thanks. |

Your basic only choice, I believe, is to muck around in the guts of strmqcfg.
Sort of.
Strmqcfg turns around and runs 'runmqcfg' to launch the Eclipse shell, and always passes "-data" in that. So you can CAREFULLY AND AFTER MAKING A FULL BACKUP modify runmqcfg to NOT pass the -data parameter. Then the preference for asking where the workspace is should be honored when you start MQ Explorer. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Thanks for the help.
Solved by removing a line regarding the -data part in the runmqcfg.cmd.
Now it starts and asks for a workspace. |
