I am stopping a message flow on an AIX broker, but after 30 mins the open input count (IPPROCS) is still set to 1.
Is this a WMQI issue or should I ask in the MQSeries forum? I remember reading somewhere that unix queue managers can have problems cleaning up closed connections, but surely not for 30 minutes?? |

The broker doesn't terminate the thread, just suspend it. So if you like to a real stopping, you should remove your message flow from broker then re-deploy.

The best way to close the open queue is, remove message flow from EG which is reading/writing to queue and redeploy EG. After this you will see queue status as closed. After reading messages from queue, you can reassign message flow and redeploy it. I could not find any other simple way to do this. |

You can stop the q-manager and restart it, but of course this is not a very good way of doing things...
I think stopping the message flow (in the operation tab of control center) and redeploying the broker will also close the queue. _________________ lung |
