I am working on a Proof of Concept (POC) using the WTX node in a v6 broker.
The service we are using for this POC has two WTX maps, one for the request and one for the response.
The request map seems to be straight forward and appears to be working fine in a message flow.
The response map has given us pause however. This map has two inputs required and we don't see how to pass in two input cards.
Is this even possible with the WTX node? We know that you can only get one card out per call of the node but what about passing in more than one card?
Thanks.

I don't believe you can pass more than one input from the broker to the WTX node. Then again can you even have more than one input to the broker??? _________________ IBM Certified - SOA Solution Designer & WebSphere Datapower SOA Appliances |

I don't either.

You can't have two input nodes fire simultaneously in the same instance of a message flow.
You can have one input node fire, and then do a variety of things to collect other inputs from other sources - like read from a database, or use an MQGet node or use Aggregation or etc. etc. etc.
This may or may not be the same thing, depending on your needs. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Thanks for the answers guys.
This won't work in my case. I was pretty sure there was no way to pass in multiple inputs into the node but just wondering if anybody had heard of a way to do it.
We have a map that takes a response from a service and the original request as inputs and outputs the final response. It is currently being used in a mainframe environment and we wanted to try to see how it would compare running on the broker on a AIX box.
Looks like we need to find a test case that only has one input to the the map.
We also need to explain that the WTX node does not have all the functionality of a regular WTX/DSTX setup.
Thanks again. |
